Every price is built up in this order:
- Base Rate — the price from the courier's rate sheet for this destination zone and chargeable weight.
- Dynamic Charges — extra fees triggered by the destination type or postal code (remote area, ODA, island delivery, etc.). Applied before fuel.
- Fuel Surcharge — a percentage of (base rate + dynamic charges), declared in the rate sheet. If no fuel was declared, this is zero.
- GST — 18% applied to the sum of base rate + fuel + GST-applicable dynamic charges. Non-GST charges (like some ODA fees) are included in the total but not taxed.
- Post-GST Charges — customs duties or clearance fees added after GST is calculated (uncommon).
Chargeable weight
You are charged for the higher of: actual weight vs volumetric weight (L×W×H ÷ 5000). A large but light box may be priced at its volumetric weight.
Zone resolution
The destination country + postal code + state is matched to a zone code from the rate sheet. The zone determines which price column applies. If a postal code is more specific than a state, the postal code match wins.
